The Otto Friedeberg Foundation of the Grain Traders‘ Association of the Hamburg Stock Exchange e.V. supports current and former members of the VdG e.V. in need as well as their employees and relatives, the surviving dependents of war victims, other people close to the profession and, in exceptional cases, other persons.
It was founded in 1923 by its namesake Otto Friedeberg. Otto Friedeberg was Vice President of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and served for 20 years – from 1907 to 1929 – as Chairman of the Association of Grain Traders.
Anyone wishing to apply for financial support should contact the foundation’s board of directors via the office listed below. Of course, all inquiries and personal concerns will be treated with absolute discretion and confidentiality. Granted support can take the form of a one-time grant or the form of ongoing donations.
